Everyone at Troon are delighted to welcome back forward Adam Forsyth, who has re-signed for the club for a second spell at Portland Park.
22 year old Adam previously signed for Troon from Annbank United in March 2015 and finished top goalscorer in Junior football in 2015-16 as we finished a club-record 4th in the top flight, but he signed for Cumnock in the summer of 2017 as Troon dropped into the Super First Division. He returns to Portland in a swap deal for keeper Ally Semple, who joins Cumnock for a second spell.
Manager Jimmy Kirkwood was delighted to see Adam return. "I brought Adam here from Annbank a few years ago, and I'm looking for him to bring the same qualities I asked for before. He's a natural goalscorer. I spoke to him in the summer and told him I didn't want him to leave, but he felt a fresh start was a good idea - but we're glad he likes what he sees regarding our rebuilding and he can be a key part of that now. And I can't wait to see him back in the blue & black stripes."
Pending the completion of paperwork, Adam will go straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to Renfrew. The bar at Portland Park will be open from 11am, and the supporters bus will leave at 12pm to head up the road.
